    Ray is similar to Horizontal Ray but it allows you to draw an extended line in any direction.

    To add a Ray to the chart, click its name or the iconray_iconon the Drawings Panel. Specify start and end points on the chart to place the ray.

    Note: To cancel drawing, press ESC

    Actions with the Ray

    • To edit the Ray, point to the ray and drag it by start or end point.
    • To move the Ray, simply drag it to where you want it on the chart.
    Note: To open the settings window, double-click the line on the chart

    Color. In the Color section, you can change the color of the Ray. The slider at the bottom is intended to set transparency of the color.
    To create a custom color:
    • clickto open the color picker
    • by using the slider at the bottom, adjust the main color
    • on the color picker, set a shade for the main color

    The custom-created colors are added to your palette. To remove a custom color, drag it out of the palette.

    Weight. In the Weight section, you can set the thickness and style for the Ray (currently, only dashed style is available).
    Settings. A set of parameters that are described in Ray settings.
    Lock. Locks the drawing position. The figure cannot be moved or edited on the chart.
    Delete. Removes a Ray from the chart.
    Note: To delete a Ray, you can also press the Delete or Backspace button on your keyboard

    Ray Settings

    • Coordinates. The coordinates of the start and end points of the Ray that you can specify manually by filling out the values for the prices, dates and time.
    • Style. In this section, you can set a color and style or put an arrow at either of the start or end point of the Ray.
    • Labels. In the Labels section, you can choose whether to show price labels on the start and end points of the Ray or not. The labels can be aligned right/left of the points. Click to the left of the Price to show/hide labels.
    • Measure box. In the Measure box section, you can choose what values should be shown on the Ray.
      The values are measured between start and end point of the Ray (you can set right, left or middle position for the measured values):
      • Show % price change
      • Show change
      • Show Bars
      • Show Date Time
      • Show Distance
      • Show Angle
    • Extend. The Ray is extended only in one direction by default. Clear To the left or To the right to remove the extension from the start or end point of the Ray respectively.

    Click Close to apply the settings.

    Note: At the bottom-left corner of the window, click Restore Defaults to reset the settings
