Indicators

Overview

DXcharts mobile includes trading indicators that help day or swing traders analyze market fluctuations and make decision on buying or selling various types of assets. In general, indicators are used either to help predict the market trends or to signal about entry/exit points on charts. DXcharts has nearly 100 predefined indicators. All of them can be used separately or in combination to perform technical analysis on the charts. You can also save your favorite indicators as templates for quick access.

1. Find the Tools panel on the main screen, tap the Indicatorsicon to display the list of indicators added to quick access.

2. In the Indicators menu, tap an indicator or an indicator template name to apply it to the chart. Indicators can be overlayed (placed directly on the chart) or placed in a separate area below the chart area.

Configure indicators

Indicators differ by type, which is usually indicated in the name: Moving Average, Index, Oscillator, Bands, Trend, Stochastic, Range, Volatility, and others. Each indicator has unique parameters: inputs and plots – the initial data for the indicator and its appearance. The parameters can be configured individually for each indicator. The description of each indicator and its parameters can be found on the corresponding page, in the Indicators > Indicator's name (A-Z) section. 

To display the list of indicators, tap Configure in the Indicators menu. The indicators are sorted alphabetically, so you can navigate through by scrolling, or tap theicon and type the name in the field below for quick search.

Here, in the list of indicators, you can select/unselect the indicators you would like to see in the Indicators menu for quick access. Tap theicon to the left of the indicator to add it to the Indicators menu.

Indicators template

The Indicators template is the saved set of favorite indicators that can be applied at once from the Indicators menu with a single tap. 

To create a template do the following:

1. On the main screen, on the Tools panel, tap the Indicatorsicon to display the Indicators menu.
2. Tap Configure to display the list of indicators and then tap Create template.
3. Tapto input a title if needed.
4. To add an indicator to the template, tapicon. To remove, tapicon.
5. You can configure the parameters for each added indicator. For details, refer to the Indicators > Indicator's name (A-Z) section.
6. Tapto save the template orto go back to the previous menu without saving.

Create a template

To edit a template do the following:

1. On the main screen, on the Tools panel, tap the Indicatorsicon to display the Indicators menu.
2. Tap Configure to display the list of available templates and then tap the required template.
3. Tap Edit template to Add/Removenew indicators to the template or configure parameters.
4. Here, you can also changethe template name if needed.
5. Tapto save the template orto go back to the previous menu without saving.

Edit a template

To delete a template do the following:

1. On the main screen, on the Tools panel, tap the Indicatorsicon to display the Indicators menu.
2. Tap Configure to display the list of available templates and then tap the required template.
3. Tap Delete template.
