Devexperts Hosts Industry Leaders to Discuss the Future of Indonesia’s Capital Markets

More than 30 industry leaders attend roundtable event to discuss how to unlock the next stage of Indonesia's capital markets growth

Devexperts hosts industry leaders to discuss the future of Indonesia’s capital markets

Jakarta, November 2, 2026 – Devexperts, the global software developer for the capital markets, last week hosted its first-ever Trading Industry Leaders Lunch in Jakarta, Indonesia, bringing together leading figures from across the industry to discuss the future of the country’s capital markets.

The roundtable was held on Thursday, October 29, at The Langham in Jakarta. More than 30 leading figures from across Indonesia’s capital markets industry attended the lunch, where discussions centered around key issues, such as how investor confidence and market integrity can be strengthened; the role of technology in building more resilient, transparent, and scalable trading infrastructure; and how brokers can innovate, compete, and prepare for the next phase of market development.

A pivotal point for Indonesia’s capital markets

The event took place as Indonesia’s capital markets industry reaches a pivotal point.

With a growing population of young, mobile-first traders, the country’s capital markets hold significant potential for development. Critical questions, however, remain around how infrastructure, regulations, and transparency need to be improved.

Taking the opportunity to tap into the specific challenges faced by brokers, exchanges, and financial institutions in Indonesia, Devexperts was able to share its global best practices and technology expertise.

With over 20 years’ of capital markets and software development experience, the company specializes in the development of multi-asset trading platforms, exchange solutions, financial charting tools, market data delivery services, and AI-powered data analysis and customer engagement solutions. Its 800-strong engineering team, based in locations worldwide, has allowed it to gain deep insight into the global capital markets industry, and how infrastructure needs to be designed to meet its increasingly complex demands.

Regulatory approval positions Devexperts to support brokers

In August 2026, the developer’s flagship white-label, multi-asset trading platform, DXtrade, became one of the only two platforms in Indonesia to receive regulatory approval from the country’s Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency, Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi – or Bappebti. Bappebti is the government agency responsible for regulating and supervising commodity futures trading in Indonesia.

DXtrade is in-part or fully customizable and can be configured to support stocks, options, futures, ETFs, mutual funds, bonds, FX, CFDs, and margin and spot digital assets.

The platform is available for web and mobile browsers, as well as via a dedicated white-label mobile app, for trading on the go. It supports third-party integrations via its open APIs and comes with TradingView charting and analysis out of the box.

DXtrade’s pro-integration architecture, paired with its modular design, gives it high interoperability capabilities, allowing brokers to implement it as a standalone multi-asset platform, or integrate it with their existing software infrastructure.

Building the future of Indonesia’s capital markets

Devexperts representatives worked with attendees at the event to identify opportunities, establish solutions to challenges faced, and discuss how the company can support the industry in its next phase of growth, through DXtrade, as well as its charting, AI-powered data analysis, and market data feed solutions and services.

Devexperts representatives present included the company’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Charmaine Athaide; its Senior Director of Product Management, Jon Light; Director of Product Management, Brett Hoffman; Director, Strategic Accounts, Alexey Korotkevish; and Account Manager, Sylvie Qian.

Jakarta has a lot of potential to become an established capital markets hub. There are, however, still major issues that need to be addressed. Technological robustness is one such factor. Infrastructure that can deliver the scalability, security, and transparency needed to compete on an international stage, is vital – and the industry needs to act fast. Technology that enables Indonesia’s capital markets industry to access more markets globally, attract and retain foreign investment, and meet regulatory requirements is key to unlocking and securing the market’s next phase of growth. Following the regulatory approval of our flagship multi-asset trading platform, DXtrade, in August of this year, we are well-positioned to support the industry in Indonesia with our software and development services. This will enable us to help brokers not only prepare for – but drive – Indonesia’s capital markets evolution. We look forward to our continued work with clients in Indonesia and to contributing to the country’s future as an increasingly significant participant in global markets.
