Devexa Updates: Interactive Buttons and Rich Media Delivery

Devexa Updates Interactive Buttons and Rich Media Delivery

Enough of humansplaining! This December, we decided to let Devexa write her own release notes. Did we like it? Absolutely! Our technical content division was thrilled to see how neutral, objective, and correct her self-descriptions were.

Without further ado, it’s Devexa’s time to showcase – not show off – her new unique skills she’s obtained after the December 2024 release.

Interactive buttons

I can now add interactive buttons to skills, broadcasts, or messages, allowing users to perform actions directly. These buttons can trigger one or more skills, helping me create structured workflows, provide immediate assistance, or guide users through multi-step processes.

Examples:

Account onboarding workflow

I can send a broadcast to potential clients encouraging them to start trading. The broadcast contains buttons like:

  • Open Account: I will trigger the Open Account skill, guiding users through account registration.

After registration, I display another message with buttons:

  • Fund Your Account: I will trigger the Deposit Funds skill.
  • Learn Trading Basics: I will trigger an educational skill with beginner tutorials.
  • Talk to Support: I will trigger a live chat skill for assistance during onboarding.

Educational engagement workflow

I target users interested in technical analysis with a broadcast that includes:

  • Learn Basic Indicators: I will trigger a skill explaining fundamental indicators like RSI or MACD.

After the lesson, I show buttons:

  • Deep Dive into RSI: I will trigger a skill with advanced RSI strategies.
  • Try It on a Demo: I will open the demo trading platform.
  • Watch a Video Tutorial: I will send a link to a YouTube video.

After the video:

  • Download the Guide: I send a PDF with a summary of the video content.

Customer support pathway

When a user experiences issues, I offer multiple solutions:

  • I Need Help with a Trade: I will trigger a troubleshooting skill for order placement or trade issues.

Based on the response, I will show the following buttons:

  • Cancel My Trade: I will trigger the order cancellation skill.
    • Explain the Error: I will link to a detailed FAQ or connect to live support.
    • General Questions: I will trigger display FAQ categories.
    • Account Settings: I will navigate to account-related FAQs.
    • Platform Features: I will guide the user through a platform feature tour.

Market alert engagement

I can inform users about significant market events with a broadcast that includes:

  • View Analysis: I will trigger a technical analysis skill generating a professional-grade chart with commentary.

After the analysis:

  • Place a Trade: I will open the Order Placement skill for immediate action.
  • Set a Price Alert: I will trigger the Alert Setup skill.
  • Learn More: I will open a skill providing in-depth information on the event’s impact.

After learning, I prompt with buttons:

  • Watch a Video Analysis: I will embed a YouTube video for further insights.
  • Share Feedback: I will collect user feedback on the market update.

Promotional campaign workflow

I can promote a new feature in the trading platform with a message that includes:

  • Learn About the Feature: I will trigger a skill explaining the new feature.

After reading the description:

  • Start Using It: I will trigger a setup or walkthrough skill.
  • Watch How It Works: I will display an embedded video.
  • Ask Questions: I will trigger a live chat skill or an FAQ guide.

Based on the FAQ guide, I can show buttons:

  • What Are the Benefits: I will list advantages.
  • How Do I Upgrade: I will link the feature activation page.

Why these workflows matter

These real-life examples demonstrate how I can:

  • Guide Users Seamlessly: Offer clear, actionable steps to complete tasks or explore features.
  • Support Decision-Making: Provide relevant options based on user needs or preferences.
  • Enhance Engagement: Keep users within the platform while delivering value.
  • Streamline Complex Processes: Break down multi-step tasks into manageable, interactive pieces.

Rich media delivery

I can share videos and PDFs within the platform as a centralized hub for communication and education. Brokers can now engage users with valuable, actionable content, ensuring they stay informed and involved without needing to leave the platform.

Examples:

Interactive tutorials

  • A YouTube video embedded in a message will explain how to use advanced trading features or perform technical analysis.
  • Downloading a PDF guide summarizing the video content, users can refer back to it when needed.

Live training follow-ups

After a live webinar, I can send:

  • A recording of the webinar (video link).
  • Supporting materials like a checklist or trading strategy worksheet in PDF format.

Customizable targeting

I can send personalized videos or PDFs tailored to user behavior. For instance:

  • A user with frequent trades in tech stocks can receive a PDF with a detailed analysis of the tech sector’s performance and a link to a video commentary by the broker’s market strategist.

Client-specific documentation

I can send region-specific compliance guides or onboarding materials:

  • Example: PDFs with KYC Documentation Instructions or Regional Tax Guidelines.

Enhanced onboarding

A welcome message might include:

  • A video tutorial for platform navigation
  • A PDF for user manual

Promoting new services

  • A video walkthrough explaining a newly launched feature.
  • A PDF detailing the benefits, pricing, or case studies of how other users have benefited.

Why this PDF/Video sharing is important

  • Keeps users engaged within the platform.
  • Provides brokers with versatile tools to educate, inform, and target users effectively.
  • Supports diverse use cases, from onboarding and education to compliance and promotions.

Normally, after letting Devexa answer user questions, we show a disclaimer about how this bot can make mistakes – you’ve probably seen it before. Do we need it here? We don’t think so. That’s a wonderful note we’re wrapping 2024 with, so Happy Holidays everyone and stay tuned for more updates next year!

Powered by holiday cheer and a million lines of code,
