About the Client Company typePrivate bankYear of foundation1952Asset classesMulti-assetLocationLugano, Switzerland Founded in 1952, Cornèr Bank Ltd. is an independent Swiss private bank with its headquarters in Lugano, Switzerland’s third-largest banking center after Zurich and Geneva. The bank offers a comprehensive range of banking and financial services and is recognized for its expertise in private banking, lending, payment card services through Cornèrcard (Visa, Mastercard, and Diners Club), and online trading via Cornèrtrader since 2012. Today, Cornèr Bank Ltd. serves private and institutional clients in Switzerland and internationally. Business Challenge Despite Cornèr Bank’s preexisting multi-asset offering, its existing solution did not provide the flexibility or ongoing support the bank required. The client was looking for: A new partner that could ensure a smooth transition from its existing platform while maintaining current services and enabling future growth and innovation. A more customizable multi-market platform capable of supporting tailored integrations and a high-performance trading app. Market data feeds to provide their end-users with high-quality information from trusted sources. Solution Devexperts proposed a custom iteration of DXtrade to meet the client’s objectives. A modified version of the DXtrade platform was successfully deployed, offering access to a large range of financial instruments and asset classes, including equities, options, futures, CFDs, and forex, but also covering a variety of global markets, including Swiss, EU, US, Canadian, and more. As a result of the work, Cornèrtrader now features integrations with several leading global venues. An adaptive, embeddable mobile version of DXtrade was launched for a flexible trading experience. Market data powered by dxFeed was provided to ensure real-time, accurate information from multiple exchanges and liquidity providers for informed decision-making. An API was provided, allowing Cornèr Bank to integrate investment capabilities into their native mobile application. Results The solution required integrating a large number of multi-market and multi-asset feeds from numerous global exchanges, as well as from the bank’s CFD liquidity provider. Trading, too, entailed complex integrations with multiple venues and asset-specific logic that had to be brought together within a single user interface, as well as offering the headroom required for future venue and asset integrations. The solution was developed and deployed to the client’s satisfaction and sets the stage for integrations with further venues that are yet to come.
