Platform overview DXtrade is a white-label, multi-asset trading platform for brokers. It supports entry-level and professional clients with preset workspaces and risk-aware order and chart defaults. Design challenge Our challenge was to serve two distinct user groups in one platform: new investors who need a clear starting point, and experienced investors who want familiar, efficient workspaces with minimal setup. We addressed this by pairing functional breadth with a clear, low-friction interface. The platform provides customizable workspaces—panels, widgets, chart overlays, and tables can be freely placed and resized. Users switch between screens via tabs, similar to a browser. This lets traders assemble workflows that match their tasks. To keep flexibility from becoming complexity, we added UI presets. Beginners get essential, ready-to-use layouts; professionals get familiar configurations they can fine-tune. The platform remains adaptable without slowing first-time use. For brokers, this approach eases migration from legacy systems and reduces support load. Solution We defined the project goals as follows: provide brokers with a white-label, multi-asset trading platform; reduce time to first trade for brokers’ clients; and reduce support load without compromising UX. To achieve this, we rethought key scenarios—from market scanning and analysis to order placement and management—and built the interface around them. The core issue was balancing feature breadth with ease of use. UI presets To bridge the gap between flexibility and usability, we introduced UI presets. Brokers migrating from legacy systems can replicate layouts familiar to their clients to ease adoption. This way, traders get a solid starting point and can modify layouts at any time. Traders can customize their workspace to fit their trading style by rearranging and resizing widgets to build intuitive, efficient layouts. We designed beginner setups that are simple enough to inspire confidence from the first session. As needs grow, clients can expand their workspace with additional tools via customizable tabs. Clients can rename, rearrange, and close workspace tabs to keep their environment organized and tailored to their workflow. By combining customization with sensible defaults, DXtrade supports both new and advanced clients. White-labeling for brokers DXtrade supports white-labeling. The design system enables fast rollout of new color themes, and all palettes meet accessibility standards. Beyond branding, the platform includes a comprehensive set of client-facing features that we’ll review below. Client-facing features Widget customization and layout manager In DXtrade, all widgets are responsive: traders can place them anywhere on-screen and resize them. When they need to track the same instrument across widgets, those widgets can be linked to stay in sync. Linked widgets are color-coded for quick orientation. Workspaces switch via tabs below the header—similar to a browser—and traders can create, save, and reuse multiple workspaces or load predefined presets. Options desk: prioritizes risk assessment with a dedicated risk profile and streamlined access to the option chain; charts can be secondary to reduce clutter. Long-term investing (large displays): multiple widgets arranged for an unobstructed view of market data and portfolio performance. Long-term investing (standard monitors): key information moved into tabbed panels to keep the screen clear while maintaining quick access to orders and watchlist. Futures desk: features a large chart and DOM ladder, plus a watchlist with continuous futures; the heatmap is a tab away for market scanning. DXcharts DXtrade includes DXcharts, our proprietary financial charting library. It’s built on effective data-visualization principles and supports 13 chart types, including options such as equivolume and candle-trend. The library provides 40+ drawing tools, 100+ built-in indicators, and support for custom studies. Integrated market data and a native mobile library ensure consistent analysis across devices. For brokers, a single charting stack across web and mobile shortens onboarding and reduces support effort. Watchlists Watchlists let clients monitor selected instruments, with optional mini-charts for a quick view of recent price action. Selecting an instrument can update linked widgets (e.g., chart, depth, order ticket), improving scan speed and reducing context switching. This helps new users navigate without heavy setup and keeps experienced users efficient. This feature provides a visual snapshot of price trends, supporting informed decision-making. Order entry Select from a range of pre-built trading strategies, like Iron Condor shown here. Fine-tune the parameters by clicking the lock icon to unlock them. After tweaking a few parameters, the Iron Condor has become a custom strategy tailored to the trader’s needs. Add an OCO pair to your order and… …once the main order is executed, the child OCO pair activates. When one order fills, the other is automatically canceled. Execute multi-layered trades effortlessly: OSO with two OCO pairs, a built-in chart for visual tracking, and the flexibility to switch between fractional, notional, and integer trading quantities. This MSFT setup combines two OCO orders with a clear activation rule, triggering only if the last trade reaches 386.88 or higher, all managed directly within order entry. Order entry supports single- and multi-leg workflows. Clients can start from prebuilt strategies (e.g., iron condor), unlock parameters to fine-tune legs, and save custom strategies. The ticket supports OCO/OSO chains and activation rules that trigger orders when specified conditions are met. Quantity modes include fractional, notional, and integer. An integrated price chart provides immediate context while placing orders. Supported order types include Market, Limit, Stop Market, Stop Limit, Trailing Stop, Trailing Stop Limit, MOC, and LOC. For brokers, these controls accommodate a wide range of client profiles while keeping risk visible and actions auditable. Order book and order history The order book and history views provide a comprehensive picture of working, filled, and canceled orders, with full details for each record. Complex groups and chains are visualized clearly, aiding review and reconciliation. Positions The Positions widget (position book) gives clients a detailed view of all long and short positions over a selected period. It supports effective monitoring and management so traders can track exposure and P/L at a glance. Market Depth Market depth shows real-time liquidity for the selected instrument and helps clients understand supply–demand dynamics and potential slippage. For brokers, exposing true depth in a clear format reduces confusion and support tickets during fast markets. Heatmap (grouped by indices) Our heatmap, grouped by indices, uses a classic red-green gradient to visualize market performance, making trends and outliers easy to spot at a glance. Like other widgets, it’s highly configurable, so clients can tailor views to their workflow. Risk profile (chart, price slices, positions) Risk profile lets advanced clients simulate scenarios and assess risk without risking real funds. It’s designed to analyze risk–reward for options strategies. The top chart shows P/L profiles by underlying price at expiration, plotting potential gains or losses for different scenarios, including the current date and the expiration date. Price slices help assess Greeks and theoretical P/L, showing how price changes affect the overall position. The positions table provides leg-level detail: strategies, contract counts, expirations, strikes, and more. For professional users, this tool supports deeper evaluation of portfolio behavior under multiple assumptions. For brokers, clear simulations reduce trial-and-error trading and support load. Option Chain The option chain is built for analyzing options contracts. It displays strikes, expirations, and key metrics for the selected asset. Clients can compare options by price, volume, open interest, and volatility to identify suitable strikes and expiries. The widget also supports building complex strategies and surfaces Greeks to show how price, time, and volatility affect option value. Two additional sections provide more context: Today’s Options Statistics (session indicators such as volume, P/C ratio, volatility) and Options Time&Sales (recent trades with time, volume, price, and venue). Economic Calendar The Economic calendar keeps clients aware of upcoming corporate events that may affect positions, e.g., dividends, earnings, conference calls, and stock splits. When linked to the watchlist, relevant events for selected instruments appear automatically, streamlining tracking across multiple assets. Company fundamentals panel Company fundamentals panel aggregates company information in one place: price, mini-chart, analyst ratings (Argus, Morningstar), a short description, and key metrics with sparklines for quick review. Conclusion DXtrade combines configurable workspaces with well-chosen defaults, so clients can work effectively from a single mobile screen to multi-monitor desktops, from simple buy/sell to nested options and futures strategies. The platform follows a regular release cadence and evolves with broker requirements and market changes, thus helping brokerages shorten time to first trade while keeping operating and support overhead in check.
